SEO Friendly Website Design

SEO Friendly Website Design

Building a new website these days takes planning. If you do not plan correctly from the beginning, it can be difficult to fix later. There is a very specific way to build a highly advanced SEO friendly website design. Today, we will dive deep into the specifics of creating a near perfect website structure.

Keyword Phrase Analysis
The first step, even before choosing the name of your website url should be keyword analysis. An example of a keyword phrase is: "One Way Text Links" You want keyword phrases with high search volume and low competition. There are a number of methods to find these hidden keyword phase gems. A quick and easy method is to go to Overture's Search Inventory Tool . Then, choose a single keyword that best represents your website business. For each keyword phrase that is returned, go to Google and search with the allintitle: command to see how much competition that there is out there. Try to stay away from keyword phrases where the competition is above 10,000 websites. This type of competition is too strong for a novice webmaster.

Using many different single keyword phrases in the Overture Tool, compile a list of 225 different keyword phrases that have high search volumes (above 1,000 searches) and low competition (well below 10,000 sites).

Pyramid Structure
Next, organize your 225 different keyword phrases into 15 different categories. These categories will become your main menu items. These menu items should have their own powerful keyword phrases. Under each main menu item will be the 225 different keyword phrases.

Essentially, this will create a pyramid structure. The top of your pyramid will be the home page. Then, the menu items. Next, the sub-menu items. Pay attention! Here comes the tricky part. When you viewing the home page, only the main menu items should be showing, not the sub-menu items. When you click into a menu item, then the sub-menu items should show, but only for that menu item. This keeps pages that are alike together and the search engines love this!

SEO Website Design Details
Here are some other details for you:

The total size of your website should be about 240-250 pages.
Each page must have a unique title (HTML Tag) and description (Meta Tag).
The title should be as close to 70 characters with spaces as possible without going over.
The description should be 150 characters with spaces as possible without going over.
Use H1, H2, and H3 headers.
Also, be sure to submit a full sitemap to http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps

Once you have all of the above completed, then concentrate on your one way link building. This should start as soon as you have your home page up and running.
